About Fox Lake Campground of Bemidji
Our 2020 camping season is from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, September 13.
Fox Lake Campground is a family friendly campground known for its casual atmosphere and the guests enjoying the lake. Fox Lake is connected to the Turtle River Chain of Lakes. Kids of all ages can be found relaxing at the beach or taking a kayak or paddle boat out on the water. Boaters enjoy tubing and wake boarding, and fishermen and fisherwomen can be spotted casting their lines into Fox Lake from their boats or heading down the channel to fish on Lake Beltrami.
Fox Lake Campground of Bemidji originally began in 1960 as Hamilton's Fox Lake Campground. Fifteen years later, the Ducharme family purchased the campground and operated it until the fall of 2018. The campground changed ownership in March of 2019 to the Haugen family.
At the 13-acre campground, you'll find the Campground Store/Office, a Game Room, the Bathroom/Shower House/Laundromat, Fish Cleaning House, playground, volleyball area, and basketball court. (Campground map)

Your Campground Hosts
Amanda first visited Fox Lake Campground in the summer of 2000 with her then boyfriend Mark. She was raised on a dairy farm and didn't grow up going camping or spending time at a lake. Campground lifestyle was new and exciting to her! Now, almost 20 years later, she gets to embrace life at the lake full time!
Amanda has been a small business owner since 2004. Her portrait studio (external link) was located in Park Rapids and most recently in Becker.
She loves the outdoors and was the one who taught Mark to fillet a fish! She also enjoys decorating, eating chocolate, doing yard work, and building/refinishing projects.
Here, there, and
Mark began camping at Fox Lake Campground with his parents Orvis and Debbie when he was around ten years old. His life was greatly shaped by the many adventures and days spent at Fox Lake Campground.
Mark (and Amanda) attended college at Bemidji State University. In 2004 he began his career with the U of MN Extension. And in 2012 he earned his Master's Degree from the U of MN (Twin Cities).
He enjoys handyman duties, lawn/property care, refinishing projects, and making sure our camping guests make the most of their stay.
Jillian and Alix are little entrepreneurs. They have a million business ideas to incorporate into Fox Lake Campground. When they are not busy telling their mom and dad all of their thoughts, the girls can be found enjoying the beach and doing handstands underwater. They also enjoy riding their bicycles throughout the campground.
